In My Mailbox (September 5, 2010)

The weekly In My Mailbox post is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren. It is fun to see what everyone else gets in their mailboxes, shopping bags, and library visits. Click on the link to The Story Siren's site to see the rules and join in the fun.
I guarantee that your TBR pile will grow when you see all the cool books everyone gets. You will discover lots of wonderful blogs and lots of books that you won't be able to live without.

This was another week when bunches of books followed me home. Actually it is more like bunches of books a I pre-ordered all arrived this week.
Cold Magic by Kate Elliott is the first in a new fantasy trilogy. The description and the reviews made it sound like something I would really enjoy.

Spy Glass by Maria V. Snyder is the next in her Glass series. I have really enjoyed the others and can't wait to read this one.

Blameless by Gail Carriger is the third book about Alexia Tarabotti. I love the combination of historical romance and steampunk. And I just adore the humor.

Whiplash by Catherine Coulter is the next in the Sherlock and Savitch series. It is a contemporary thriller.

Midnight Crystal by Jayne Castle finishes the Dreamlight Trilogy. It began with the contemporary Fired Up by Jayne Ann Krentz, continued with the historical Burning Lamp by Amanda Quick, and concludes in her futuristic line. I have been a long-time fan of JAK no matter which name she writes under.

Maybe This Time is the new book by Jennifer Crusie. I love her humorous contemporary romances and have high hopes for this one.
Renegade by Lora Leigh is her latest romantic suspense book. I like what Amazon describes as her "smoldering romances."

Raphael by D. B. Reynolds got good reviews on some of the blogs I read. I am not familiar with the author but was intrigued enough to give the book a try.

Primal Instincts by Susan Sizemore is the latest in a series that I read. I like her take on vampires.

And I couldn't forget my Kindle this week. These were added:

Love Me If You Dare by Carly Phillips is her most recent contemporary romance.

Sparks by Laura Bickle is the sequel to Embers. I enjoyed that book and want to know what happens next for the characters.

When Blood Calls by J. K. Beck is the first paranormal romance in a new trilogy.

School has begun again which cuts into my reading time. Now all I need is a "snow day" or two to get some reading done. Unfortunately, even in Minnesota, snow days are still months away.
