World-renowned archeologist and star of the History Channel series Chasing Mummies, Dr. Zahi Hawass will headline A.R.E.’s Annual Ancient Mysteries Conference: Dr. Zahi Hawass’ Secrets from the Sands October 8-10, at Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E. Dr. Hawass will show attendees the latest discoveries coming out of Egypt, and ancient mysteries expert John Van Auken will show the latest updates in the search for Atlantis and its hidden hall of records, in and around Bimini, Bahamas. A capacity crowd is expected.
Other featured speakers at this popular annual conference include author and researcher Mitch Horowitz, who explores the little-known history of how mysticism and occult influences helped shape our nation; astronomer James Mullaney, who will take the audience on a tour of ancient times through the heavens with help from Hubble Space Telescope images; hypnotherapist James Parker, who will help attendees connect to ancient past lives and learn how previous life talents and experiences are relevant today; popular speaker and A.R.E. Tours leader Peter Woodbury, who will speak on the Lost Tribes; and Ellen Cayce, who will lead attendees through a program of guided movement to music from the ancient Egyptian Temple Beautiful.
A speaker and author reception and book-signing will be held on Saturday, October 9, at 4 p.m., with refreshments provided. There are also times set aside for a reunion for past A.R.E. Zahi Hawass, PhD, is a world-renowned archaeologist, secretary general of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, and director of ongoing excavations at Giza, Saqqara, and the Valley of the Kings in Egypt. Dr. Hawass has made a number of major discoveries over the course of his career, including the tombs of the pyramid builders at Giza and the Valley of the Golden Mummies at Bahariya oasis. James Mullaney, FRAS, whose books include Edgar Cayce and the Cosmos, is an astronomy writer, lecturer, and former curator of the Buhl Planetarium in Pittsburgh and, more recently, director of the DuPont Planetarium. He served as editor for Sky & Telescope, Astronomy, and Star & Sky magazines, and is a fellow of the prestigious Royal Astronomical Society of London.
Peter Woodbury, MSW, a psychotherapist and Harvard University graduate, is a popular speaker on the Edgar Cayce perspective and a favorite A.R.E. Tours leader and international traveler. He brings over 20 years of research to his presentations.
Ellen Cayce has spent many years studying the Temple Beautiful arts from the Cayce readings. She served on A.R.E.’s staff for 15 years, most recently as manager for A.R.E. Tours. She has toured Egypt and brings its ancient wonders to her presentation.
Jason Parker, PhD, MHt, is a master hypnotherapist with over 18 years’ experience who has conducted more than 500 past-life regressions.
