Mosul:
#1: One Iraqi soldier was killed and two others were wounded in an armed attack on a checkpoint in western Mosul, a police source said. “Unidentified gunmen opened fire on Thursday afternoon (Aug. 12) on an army checkpoint in al-Senaa al-Qadiema region, western Mosul, killing a soldier and injuring another one,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
