The storyline for the upcoming spinoff featuring classic characters Reg Holdsworth and Curly Watts has hit the media. I have to say it doesn't make me want to run out and reserve a copy. As reported here, it features Curly managing several hotels and he gives Reg a chance to put on a Medieval weekend at one of them. Somehow, Rosie Webster gets hired as a serving wench and somehow she has Jason Grimshaw in tow. And SOMEHOW, Mary Taylor catches Reg's eye. How all these other characters manage to come together for this remains to be seen. None of them seem to have any connection whatsoever to Reg and Curly. They might have had my interest until I saw Rosie and Jason involved. Sorry, ITV, this one isn't going to fly for me.
