The first picture here is from his puppy days. Sparky was rescued from the vicinity of Mumbai airport in February 2005. He was the last surviving member of his litter. Malnourished, worm- ridden and traumatized, the first few weeks were touch-and-go.
"It took us a full year to sort out his worm problem but he was finally cured with homeopathy," writes owner Aarti Phatarphekar. "He is an unruly five-and-a-half year old, whom we just can't do without. My daughter Ria calls him her younger brother who doesn't talk! And the housekeeper actually thinks he is a god who has come to protect our family."
Sparky shifted to Hyderabad with Aarti and Ria a few years ago.
