Chinese archaeological workers have discovered more than 3,000 terra-cotta figures from the Han Dynasty made without clothing, including some female and eunuch tomb figures, according to a rough estimate of archaeologists.
Jiao Nanfeng, famous Qin and Han Dynasty archaeologist, researcher in Shaanxi Archaeology Academy, said the first naked terra-cotta figure was discovered in the area belonging to the ancient northwest Chang'an city in the Han Dynasty half a century ago.
Later, people called them naked terra-cotta tomb figures as they were sculpted without clothes.
These figures are mainly found during the process of archaeological investigation and excavation.
