Turkey throws Iran sanctions lifeline

Turkey is throwing Iran a safety net against sanctions. While insisting that it will adhere to UN sanctions against Iran, Turkey will not adhere to the more stringent United States and European sanctions against the aspiring nuclear power. Mehmet Simsek, the finance minister, told the Financial Times that Turkey would not shy away from promoting closer trade links with Iran.“We will fully
