The most amazing portico stretches over 2 miles, and climbs to the top of Monte della Guardia. At the top is the circular Santuario di San Luca. Photos just don't do it justice~ amazing!I wasn't sure I was ready to walk the entire way~ even powered by pasta and pesto.
We did get to the top to see the beautiful church. 
The porticos in the Centro provide a nice cover for coffee bars and cafe's
and a place to park your bikes.
Today, we appreciated the shade. It has really been hot!
