Mother's Day

It has been beautiful for the past couple of days here (never mind the fact that it is raining right now).  And yesterday was great too.  I spent most of the day lounging around outside basking in the sun and reading.  That is probably one of my favorite things in the whole world to do.  I know it sounds dorky, but I love being in the sun, and if I have a good book, reading.  Anyway Bob really surprised me this year with a water purifier and a GPS for the car.  Normally we spend around $20 on our gifts for each other so when I opened the box and it had a GPS I was definitely surprised.  I was also not expecting it because the reason we don't already have a GPS is because the cigarette lighter in our car does not work.  And we just thought it would be a hassle to charge it in the house all the time.  Well, that is no longer a concern because Bob fixed the cigarette lighter.  He almost broke the cd player in the process but everything works now, so I am happy.  He also made breakfast in bed for me cleaned up the house and made dinner.  Tucker helped too.  Although he was disappointed after I opened my present that he was not getting one also.  I love Mother's day.  But really, one day is not enough.  I don't think anyone who doesn't have kids can really understand how much work it is to be a mom.  Besides all the work you also get a kind of joy and sense of purpose that I'm not sure you can get from anything else.  Even dads don't get it.  I love my two kids and am very happy to be a mom.  I also love my mom and am so thankful for everything she does for me.

Sorry no pictures.  I just haven't been in the mood to take any lately.  Probably because I keep thinking about how nice it would be if I had that other camera I have been saving up for.
