White Dog takes a moment during her Cinco de Mayo celebrating to pay tribute in special holiday fashion to her friend, Khyra's Wicked Wednesdays. Remember to always protect sensitive areas with sunscreen...or appropriate covers.

Feliz Cinco de Mayo to all of our friends of Mexican heritage or who live South of the border or those who like a good excuse for a fiesta! Living in New Mexico this day receives lots of attention and is almost universally celebrated at least with a tasty traditional meal. Our family is no different; we supped on green chile chicken enchiladas (White Dog's favorite), refried beans, and Spanish rice as we listened to festive folk music. Michael shared what he had learned about the day's significance (Mexico liberating itself from French dictatorship). We lamented having no treat-filled pinata, but White Dog's and Quinn's ears perked up at the mention of treats. White Dog earned hers by dancing as she was taught long ago and Quinn did a fine sit, wait, let me brush you for 1 minute, combo for a reward. The humans enjoyed sliced kiwi (Quinn begged--and liked--a few bites), then we all drifted off to do end of day routine things. Suenos dulces!
