There's a lot of talk at the moment about which Coronation Street characters should be, or are likely to be, "axed".That set me to wondering whether "axed" is the correct term to use in the Corrie context. There have been a few sudden deaths in Corrie, but I can't remember an actual axe being involved at any time.
Maybe "trammed" or "Bradleyed" might be better? Or what about "Hillmanned"?
