White Dog has been to dog classes and obedience training at many different levels so she knows that doing well in school is not an easy thing. She knows that you must stay focused and apply yourself. White Dog also knows how easy it is to be distracted. Although she she is aware that report cards don't reveal the full measures or criteria of true success, White Dog respects that good grades do reflect that the student has come prepared and worked hard to meet expectations. That is why she was the first one to excitedly congratulate Michael when he came home from school and handed me his report card...it contained all "A"s and "B"s! Suddenly on a dreary Thursday there was a cause for celebration! Quinn pushed his head into Michael's hand and looked up with pride. White Dog, Quinn and I filled Michael with praise for his performance and his achievement. When Steve came home Michael shared his news and the congratulations began again. Michael has been through so much change these past four months, the fact that he has done so well is awesome! Tonight in our family we are proud and happy and hopeful for his future.
P.S. We almost forgot...Happy Earth Day! Celebrate the miracle that is this special planet by treating it with respect and love!
