Tanacross Language Classes return to Tok Center

Rick Thoman sends the following note:

Tanacross language classes are once again being taught this spring by Irene Solomon Arnold at the University of Alaska's Interior-Aleutian Campus Tok Center. The two evening per week class is being attended by students whose heritage language is Tanacross and other interested learners in the upper Tanana Valley area. Mrs. Arnold has taught Tanacross language, or as she prefers, Dihthâad Xt'een Iin Aandeeg', 'Mansfield people's language', in many classes since the early 1990s, including for Alaska Gateway School District and the University of Alaska Fairbanks. All of Mrs. Arnold language classes focus on speaking Tanacross. She is also the author of numerous ANLC published Tanacross language learning resources. Mrs. Arnold is pictured on the right in this photo.
