This is an ultra rare and beautiful species from Minas Gerais.
When the drought comes the plant makes all the leaves live tubes.
This behavior helps the plant to cope with the harshest weather.
You can see it here in one of the leaves. All leaves may be presented entirely so.
It is during the beging of these dry periods that the plant flowers. Here you may notice the begining of two flower stalks.
