White Dog was kept busy all day helping Adam and then Steve create a bedroom space for my nephew, Michael. He will, it turns out be our house guest for the next couple of months. Yesterday Nancy went to the doctor with shortness of breath and was sent immediately to the ER. There, it was determined that her issues were not just getting adjusted to our altitude (Albuquerque is a mile high), but rather some serious pulmonary malfunctioning. She will be in the hospital and rehab for awhile. White Dog has already grown fond of Michael and she wanted to make certain that her new "downstairs" neighbor would be comfortable. White Dog has been very patient and gentle as she expresses her needs and as she tries to understand the special needs of being autistic and 17. It will be an adjustment for all of us!
