White Dog was amazed when Adam came in and threw himself on the couch. "I am stranded in town," he said. "The highway is closed because of the snow and the backway is just clogged with traffic trying to negotiate the icy patches." She looked out of the window at the grey grass and barely wet sidewalk. The cars were damp but held no piles of white flakes. White Dog looked pointedly at Adam and then at me as if she was questioning his sanity. "Steve said there was about 10" of accumulation out toward the Pueblo," I concurred. White Dog went out into the yard and scouted around...nope, no snow! At this point no moisture of any kind. Here in our part of town, there was nothing only grey promises that somewhere, someone was going to get to make snow tracks!
