White Dog is still shocked over the news that her friends in Saskatchewan, had a horrible house fire that claimed the life of Jazzy, their beautiful, happy-spirited foster dog. Her heart overflows with grief over the pain and self-imposed guilt Gwyn must feel although we know she tried beyond heroic efforts to save the little girl that she had already saved once just by providing Jazzy with a loving, caring foster home. Casper, Nikki and Buddy are OK and for that White Dog is overjoyed. It is the "why" of horrible things happening to good people (two- and four-legged) that eludes not just White Dog but all of us.
We know that Jazzy is running free and unscathed and happy in her true forever home on the other side of the Bridge...and know she will greet her foster family with kisses of welcome when it is each of their turns to cross. White Dog hopes that Gwyn finds some small comfort in knowing that so many send caring sympathy. May all of them feel our arms and paws wrapped around them sharing healing love to ease the anguish of the horrible tragedy.
White Dog believes it is time for the tides to turn. Our community has been plagued with so much sadness these past months. Please join her in a moment's prayer that Spring's Hopefulness showers our blog family with better fortune.
P.S. Anyone interested in leaving a memorial donation, Jazzy was from the New Hope Rescue http://www.newhoperescue.org/2010/02/18/in-memory-of-jazzy There is a donation button on the left side.
