White Dog insisted that we put the unscathed remaining Eskie doll up as high as it could go (on the mantle) before Dragon came for his usual Sunday afternoon visit. She put Star, Lambie, and Curly up on the bed for their own protection. Once the house was Dragon-proofed she waited at her window perch so she could sound an alarm upon his arrival. He and his parents came bearing Middle Eastern grilled meats and vegetable skewers so White Dog partially forgave the little beast for last week's desecration but she still would not play when he demanded.
