The Financial Times has produced twenty questions for would-be Members of Parliaments

1. Sir Hilary Synnott, regional co-ordinator of the Coalition Provisional Authority, Southern Iraq, July 2003 to January 2004, asks:

"Which of these countries is a party to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty: India, Iran, North Korea, Pakistan, Israel?"

(Aangirfan added Israel to the question as Synnot mysteriously left Israel out)

2. Camila Batmanghelidjh, founder of the UK's Kids Company, wants candidates to know about the crisis of child violence.

"Every year in Britain some 550,000 children are referred to child protection services because of suspected abuse and neglect.

"On average, over the past five years, how many were placed on the child protection register each year and how many were taken off?" 32,000; 31,500 or 3,200; 1,500 or 320; 150
