White Dog did not get to go to the Park this morning (I had an early appointment at the people vet) so she was a wound tight bundle of energy all day. Fortunately, the day was a glorious warm autumn gift so she was able to concentrate a lot of efforts on her newest earth art (which she is digging on the higher side of the yard). Several times across the afternoon she came charging in ran around the house leaped up on her window perch to bark and then left again. White Dog's pace was very business like and focused as she trotted past me for a bite to eat or a sip of water--and then back to her busy work. I saw her carry monkey out of the dog door and had to peek at what she was doing. As I watched, unobserved, White Dog took monkey over to see her new dig and arranged him sitting on the deck so that the toy could "see" her. Then she deliberately walked over to the agility jumps. Looking over her shoulder just make sure he was watching (or maybe she knew I was there), White Dog joyfully took all of the jumps, tail high, floof streaming. She paused as if waiting for applause then came up and lay next to monkey in the sun.
