White Dog has developed a new diva demand on nights when Steve works late--his "punishment" for neglecting her. She refuses to eat her dinner when we do (she does every other day of the week) but is not above "sampling" what we have. She sits next to Steve and sighs and looks pitiful but is totally unresponsive to his encouragement of "See what's on your plate!" (he adds bits from is meal to hers). Later, when we say, "Let's go and watch some television," White Dog is the first one to hop up on the bed and get into position. Then she looks up at Steve from where she is resting on the pillows. We now know that means "Well, go get my plate so I can have dinner in bed while we're enjoying this movie, oh Slave of mine!" Steve indulges the diva and holds her plate while White Dog then chows down her meal. Spoiled?
