White Dog sat in her window perch taking a break from a weekend of supervising house cleanup and organization for our Thanksgiving gathering. She let out her happy greeting bark and we thought "oh, no we have too much to do to entertain right now!" Gregg, Candace and Dragon burst through the door and amid a flurry of hugs and pets said, "Here we are! Put us to work! How can we help...want us to get dust bunnies by moving furniture? prechop veggies in the kitchen? rake leaves? You name it we are in grubbies and are your slaves for the afternoon! Oh...and we have a little sushi and some salads for a break later!" We were wow'd and they would not take "no" for an answer so we divied up tasks and got to work. White Dog and Dragon were given the tasks finding all of the hidden chewies (Dragon is a master at this) and keeping everyone else on task (Dragon is learning well from the uber supervisor, White Dog). After, when tasks were finished, sushi eaten, and the "Clean Team" gone back home, White Dog pointed out, "We have pretty wonderful friends, don't we?" Steve and I sighed in thankful agreement.
