White Dog was busily at work rebuilding her earth art (A Study in Negative Space) in the yard all morning. Dirty nosed but happy she came in to announce its completion just as Steve came home from school. They immediately went out to critique the work which I viewed from the deck. It was well designed, a little deeper than White Dog was tall and large enough in diameter to house many treasures...or a fluffy white puppy in need of a dust bath. Stuffie Curly had been strategically placed in the bottom to provide a sense of scale. The leaves came right to the edge of the hole forming a beautiful camouflage effect. White Dog had chosen a location that received morning sun but was sheltered by the wall from gusty winds and prying eyes. All in all, it is one of her finest works...White Dog will not be happy tomorrow when Steve fills it back in!
