White Dog gloried in the perfect Fall day we had today. The outdoors with its bright clear skies and 70 degree temperature and ground coating of crunchy fallen leaves was irresistible and she spent the morning sunny herself on the deck (or maybe conceptualizing). In the afternoon White Dog, energized by the crisp breeze that sprang up, began an earthworks project in the far corner of the yard. After rolling to find the exact right spot, she used her face to bulldoze the leaves out of the way. The she got to work digging. White Dog was busy for quite some time and took only one break to come in for nourishment in the form of treats and a drink from my green tea. She came in late in the afternoon, as I was painting. White Dog was covered in leaf bits and her paws and entire underside were dirty. White Dog ignored my questions about what she was making or if it was complete...so I guess it will be a surprise next time Steve makes a patrol of the yard.
