White Dog watched in amazement as the house across the street went from pale yellow with burgundy trim to splotchy white primer dotted to federal blue with deep purple trim over the course of the past two days. As the painters finished this afternoon and began removing the masking plastic, she barked and demanded an explanation for the change. "Why do humans have to always keep changing things around?" she asked. "What was wrong with the way the house was? Now the house looks tired not happy!" I reminded White Dog that her opinion was not the one that mattered in this case. She huffed and said, "Well, I have to look at it all day!"
