White Dog does not like thunderstorms; the noise and flashes frighten her. When a monster storm kicked up during dinner, she quickly attached herself to Steve's side where she felt safe. White Dog squished herself tightly between us as we watched television and the rain continued after the meal but it became obvious that the poor girl had to take a potty break. She stood with her nose just lifting the dog door until she had no other choice but to go out. She dashed out (we could almost hear her relief) and was back in 30 seconds carrying one of her beef bones. Hopping back on the bed, White Dog put her bone against my leg to begin chewing. Suddenly I felt something wet and slimy on my skin. A snail had attached itself to the bone and it was stretching to move onto my hand! YUCK!!! Everyone jumped at my disgusted scream...and then laughed at my "girly-ness"...Steve came to my rescue and took the snail and threw it out of the patio door. White Dog wondered what the fuss was about.
