NSA's Cyber Overkill -- A Commentary

A project to safeguard governmental computers, run by the NSA, is too big a threat to Americans' privacy.

Cyber security is a real issue, as evidenced by the virus behind July 4 cyber attacks that hobbled government and business websites in the United States and South Korea. It originated from Internet provider addresses in 16 countries and targeted, among others, the White House and the New York Stock Exchange.

My Comment: The problem with this point of view is that it does not address the growing threat that cyber attacks on our networks will have in the future. It is manageable today .... and concerns about our privacy are legitimate ... but my concern is what will happen tomorrow when these networks are even more important to us economically and militarily, and the threats against these networks are even more dangerous.
