White Dog helped Steve prepare Tortuga for his trip to the vet and then watched nervously out of the window as they drove away. Dr. Julia called mid-morning to confirm tortoise's prolapse but added that after removing the dead tissue that she thought what remained of his "manhood" might be saved. So she has kept Tortuga overnight to hopefully stuff him back into his shell...or to finish the amputation...tomorrow. White Dog has checked his empty house several times today and ran out to look for him in the car when Steve got home.
