We have made a change in our plans for weather reasons. We will not go to British Virgin Islands ( BVI) this time. The hurricane season is approaching and we now feel that it is better to start our trip home over the Atlantic. Therefore we will leave tomorrow for the Azores. We have 2500 nm to go to the Azores and we expect the voyage to take two weeks. Our ETA in Horta, the Azores is May 20. Yesterday we got the first copy of our book about Antarctica, Patagonia and the South Pacific and we could not avoid reading it again ( see picture ). It is really exciting to have a new book that you have written yourself in your hands!!!!!! The book looks really beautiful. It will be available in the bookstores during May. It will only be published in Swedish at this stage.
Vi har gjort en förändring av våra planer av väderskäl. Vi kommer inte att segla till de Britiska Jungfruöarna ( BVI ) denna gång. Orkansäsongen närmar sig och vi känner att det är bättre att starta vår återresa över Atlanten nu. Därför kommer vi imorgon att avsegla mot Azorerna och vi räknar med att den resan tar två veckor. Igår fick vi det första exemplaret av vår nya bok " Vid nytt roder - med Yaghan till Antarktis, Patagonien och Söderhavet" och vi kunde inte låta bli att läsa den igen ( se bilden ). Det känns verkligen spännande att hålla en ny bok i sina händer som man skrivit själv!!!!! Boken ser fin ut. Den kommer att finnas i bokhandeln under maj månad.
