IAF jets scramble toward Delta Airlines plane

IAF jets scrambled toward a Delta Airlines flight from New York on Saturday afternoon, after the plane failed to make contact with the control tower at Ben Gurion Airport. Israeli security officials feared the plane had been hijacked. The jets made contact with the pilot and were told that a technical malfunction prevented him from contacting the control tower.
