White Dog and Steve gathered the candles and our special dessert in the bedroom as 8:30pm approached. They began turning off lights to mark our participation in Earth Hour--a global show of support for efforts to counter global warming. From 8:30 to 9:30pm locally, families and communities were asked to switched off all of their lights. Earlier in the week, Steve had pushed and gotten Albuquerque's mayor to agree to city participation. During the hour, White Dog, Steve and I cuddled in the candle glow and enjoyed a moment out of time.
