Palin Stiffs Boehner, Does the Alfalfa, and the Superbowl Too (?)

The U.S. House of Representatives Republicans invited Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to their annual winter retreat this weekend, at Hot Springs, Virginia. According to ABC News, Palin told the National GOP leadership that she couldn't attend because pressing business as Alaska Governor would keep her in Alaska this weekend:

Retreat organizers tell ABC News that Palin politely declined, giving a perfectly understandable reason. According to the Congressional Institute, which hosted the conference, Palin said she simply could not make it to the retreat because pressing state business made it impossible for her to leave Alaska this weekend.

Here's a Youtube of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin arriving at the annual Alfalfa Club dinner Saturday evening, in Washington, DC. She is escorted by Meg Stapletongue Stapleton and GOP fixer Fred Malek, with whom Palin dined in Virginia, Friday:

According to Palin shrine, thesarahpalinblog, Gov. Palin will be part of the Super Bowl halftime show also. The blog purports this to be a pre-taping of Palin's Super Bowl talk at Fort Richardson, before she left for Washington, DC:

U.S. House Minority Leader, Rep. John Boehner, when asked about Palin's lie to the national GOP leadership, commented:

"Whatever....."
