White Dog did not understand the significance weeks ago when Steve came home and announced his doctor had proclaimed him due for an over 50 colonoscopy. The procedure is tomorrow and White Dog is very nervous by the fasting/ internal cleansing rituals that Steve must undergo tonight. She skipped her meal in favor of a small bowl of broth (like Steve had). White Dog waits at the bathroom door every time Steve dashes to the facility. She sits pressed against him on the the sofa and is alert to his every movement. Mousie and Cookie toys stay nearby just in case Steve wants to play. Poor White Dog hates Steve's discomfort. We will all be glad when this is passed and we can have a celebratory feast.
