Israel Wary Of Second Front Against Hezbollah

ISRAEL'S director of military intelligence, Major-General Amos Yadlin, warned yesterday of the possibility that the Lebanese paramilitary force, Hezbollah, could open a second front against Israel and that it might fire rockets on Israel within days.

Some of the reservist troops Israel is calling up are earmarked for such a possibility.

An Israeli Defence Forces spokesman, Brigadier-General Avi Benayahu, told army radio that Israel's opponents, among them Hezbollah, were concerned about Israel's recent success in combating Hamas.
