Air Force Official Calls UAVs Critical

WASHINGTON, Jan. 15 (UPI) -- A top U.S. Air Force official says unmanned aerial vehicle technologies are critical to air supremacy and succeeding in countering terrorism.

Lt. Gen. Norman R. Seip, commander of the 12th Air Force and Air Forces Southern, says the United States is committed to advancing UAV capabilities. Seip says the Air Force is placing a significant investment into the future of UAVs to support the increasing challenges of the war on terror, the Air Force reported.
