
The U.S. military will give new emphasis to targeting financial networks that bankroll insurgents, terrorists and drug traffickers.
Disrupting these networks and gathering intelligence for the Treasury and State departments or the Drug Enforcement Administration is now a primary mission in combat theaters under an order Deputy Defense Secretary Gordon England signed Dec. 2.
“For first time you will have Navy Seals and Army infantry being taught to look for credit cards and gift cards, SIM cards, identify users, and work with Treasury specialists to trace them back to the source,” said Andy Cochran, former senior counsel with the House Financial Services Committee and head of the Washington-based Counterterrorism Foundation.

My Comment: If you cut off the money .... every terrorist group would then die. This type of focus by the U.S. military is long overdue.
