YALA, Dec 13 (TNA) -- Four persons were killed and five were wounded in separate attacks in two troubled southern Thai provinces by separatist militants, police said Saturday.
The authorities said the first incident erupted late Friday when armed ethnic Malay Muslim militants travelling by pick-up truck fired at security guards in a village of Yala's Raman district.
Three security personnel were killed and three were wounded, police said, adding that several cars and a tea shop near the scene were damaged.
