I guess the term 'oh fudge' would be right up there with 'gosh darn'. I've been known to use them both. Especially while getting the Christmas decorations out.
Decorating can be such a headache... like when the lights get strung backwards and the plug is at the wrong end, or the lifelike tree has lost a branch.
But, I do have to say it is so nice when you can sit back and appreciate the lights all sparkling. Even nicer if you can do it with a glass of red wine and some orange chocolate fudge~ for medicinal purposes of course.
Orange Dark Chocolate Fudge
2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup dark chocolate
14oz sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup macadamia nuts
1 Tbs orange zest
Combine chocolate and milk in a double boiler. Slowly heat to melt the chocolate, stir until smooth. Remove from heat, stir in the orange zest. Roughly chop the nuts (pecans also work well) fold into the chocolate. Pour into an 8x8 buttered baking dish. Smooth out. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate.
I'd bet you can't find an easier or tastier fudge. Tomorrow I'll post my peanut butter fudge. Wrap them with a pretty ribbon and they make great gifts.
Merry Christmas Y'all!
Sandi
