India Vows ‘All Actions’ To Prevent Further Terrorist Attacks

(Bloomberg) -- India vowed today to take “all actions as we deem fit” to prevent further terrorist attacks, after Pakistani authorities arrested 16 people in last month’s assault on the city of Mumbai.

“We must do our duty by our people,” E. Ahamed, India’s minister of state for external affairs, said in a speech to the United Nations Security Council. “The charter of the United Nations and provisions of international law, including the right of self-defense, gives us the framework to fulfill these responsibilities.”
