Colombian Rebels Given Amnesty Offer

Colombia's president says leftist rebels can receive both money and amnesty if they abandon their fight against the government and bring hostages with them.

President Alvaro Uribe offered rebels with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC, their freedom Wednesday if they brought long-held captives with them from their jungle hideouts, El Tiempo reported online.
