For those of you who have grown up in Birmingham, this building is instantly recognizable. This wonderful Art Deco detailing is from Loveman's Department Store in downtown Birmingham. This grand old lady evokes many fond memories.... eating lunch on the Mezzanine, the glove department, the elevators with attendants in white gloves, the fabulous Christmas windows...and so many more.
