Dia de los Muertos Festival

First it's a photo shoot at Oak Hill Cemetery, now I am having a ball at the Day of the Dead Festival!  I guess the Cemetery in Montmartre is next.  Meanwhile this was my first time to attend this wonderful event , and I'm so glad I did.  Bare Hands Gallery on Richard Arrington Blvd. South, hosted this 6th Annual Dia de los Muertos Festival . The festivities started at 1:00 and lasted into the night. Oh my, it's an eyeful!!!  I took about 100 photos in a very short time. One day's post is NOT going to get the job done.  I couldn't begin to capture it all or choose the one or two I really want you to see.  To quote Strangetastes, " A photographer's buffet." Consider today's offerings your appetizer!

Top Photo:  Isn't she fabulous?  I couldn't stop snapping photos of her.  There were many folks young and old dressed as skeletons and other spirits.
Bottom Photo:  One of the many shrines for the dearly departed.
