A wasp-sucking machine



A young man in Canada jury-rigged an electric blower with corrugated tubing and a glass-roofed collection bin to create a "wasp-sucking machine," and placed it next to the entrance to a yellow jackets' nest. The photo above shows the results of 9 hours of vacuuming.

At the Reddit discussion thread there are some demurrers bemoaning the harassment of "innocent" creatures, but since I've personally been chased through the woods and stung multiple times by yellowjackets, I have to side with the inventor in this case.

And if he reversed the airflow, he would have a wasp-shooting gun. How awesome would that be!
