The small turnouts in recent local elections have so far favored Democrats and - in non-partisan elections like yesterday's Anchorage set - liberals. It isn't so much that the Democratic Party here has energized their base or formed a new one, as that the Republican base is staying home, despirited and glum.The Democrats need to reach out to the 79% of voters who don't want to go out and push those levers. The Dems already are, but an unprecedented effort needs to be pushed.
We need to attack, Attack, Attack and ATTACK!
