White Dog celebrated the Return of Spring, the Equinox, and Easter under the warm bright blue New Mexican skies that she so loves. We spent the morning preparing tasty treats and cleaning the house with windows wide open to air out winter's staleness! At two, White Dog announced the arrival of Adam and Deborah. An afternoon of Spring feasting and merriment began...beneath the colorful bobbing heads of Spring flowers in the bouquet brought by our gracious guests. White Dog loves sniffing flowers and is very gentle with them. On the menu, we surprised Deborah with a traditional poppyseed coffeecake that Steve made last night. It was warm and buttery and we all waxed poetic over his ability to conjure up memories. White Dog most especially enjoyed the quiche Lorraine and the strawberries in lemon yogurt. She was very curious about the tradition of hunting Easter eggs and wanted to know if you could eat all of the eggs that you find.
