White Dog played Squirrel on the dog beach this morning and was a beautiful sight racing along the sand. She did not like the crashing waves or swaying palm trees. After breakfast we headed downtown in the rain. White Dog checked out the puppy day care facility and stayed with her new friends while we saw the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit at the Natural History Museum (and ate sushi). Back at base camp, we took a much needed nap before we headed out to try Gregg's discovery--an Ethiopian restaurant in town! White Dog curled up in the car and waited while we feasted on delicious African foods and then over-caffeinated on thick sludge-like Ethiopian coffee. It was still raining when we got "home" and Steve with White Dog took an evening walk.
