MOSUL - Iraqi security forces arrested 83 suspected insurgents during sweeps through Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, local police head Major General Wathiq al-Hamadani said.
NEAR RAMADI - The bodies of five men were found east of the city of Ramadi, 110 km (70 miles) west of Baghdad, police said.
LATIFIYA - Two policemen were shot and killed in Latifiya, 40 km (25 miles) south of Baghdad, a hospital source said.
KUT - Gunmen attacked a petrol station in Kut, 170 km (100 miles) southeast of Baghdad, killing one guard and wounding another, police said
BAQUBA - Police found the bodies of seven people shot in different districts of the religiously mixed city of Baquba, 65 km (40 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.
TAL AFAR - Four al Qaeda militants were killed and 21 detained, including two leaders, in clashes with Iraqi security forces in the town of Tal Afar, about 420 km (260 miles) northwest of Baghdad, police Brigadier Ibrahim al-Jouburi said.
ANBAR PROVINCE - A U.S. Marine and a soldier died on Monday during combat operations in Anbar, the U.S. military said.
TAJI - Police discovered the body of an 11-year-old boy with his throat slit in Sab al Bor, north of Baghdad, the U.S. military said. A local al Qaeda cell was suspected.
BAGHDAD - The bodies of 14 people were found shot in different districts of Baghdad on Monday, police said.
BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb killed a person and wounded three others in Zaafaraniya in southern Baghdad, police said.
KIRKUK - A U.S. soldier was killed and two were wounded when a large truck bomb exploded at a police station in Kirkuk on Monday, the U.S. military said. The blast killed two Iraqi police officers and 10 civilians and wounded 17 policemen and 180 civilians. Kirkuk is 250 km (150 miles) north of Baghdad.

NEAR FALLUJA - A U.S. soldier died on Monday when a roadside bomb exploded next to his vehicle in Fuhaylat south of Falluja, the U.S. military said.
ISHAQI - A roadside bomb exploded near the motorcade of Aamir Abdul-Hadi, the mayor of Balad, on Monday, wounding him along with five guards near the town of Ishaqi, 100 km (60 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

- Two young men (students in the college of pharmacy) were killed in an IED explosion targeted their BMW car in Saidiyah neighborhood south Baghdad around 7 am.
- A police man was killed and an other one was injured when insurgents opened fire targeting a police vehicle in Adhemiyah neighborhood east north Baghdad around 1,30 pm.
- 2 civilians were injured in an IED explosion targeted the civilians in Doura neighborhood south Baghdad around 1,30 pm.
- 3 civilian were killed and 2 were injured in an IED explosion on the main street of Saidiyah neighborhood south Baghdad around 5,00 pm
- A member of the national police was injured by small fire in Doura neighborhood south Baghdad around 5,30 pm.
- 10 anonymous bodies were found in Baghdad today. 7 bodies were found in Karkh, the western side of Baghdad in the following neighborhoods (3 bodies in Doura, 1 body in Mahmoudiyah, 1 body in Hurriyah, 1 body in Hay Al Jamiaa and 1 body in Yarmouk.) 3 bodies were found in Rosafa, the eastern part of Baghdad in the following neighborhoods (1 body in Bob Al Sham, 1 body in Al Mashtal and 1 boy in Waziriyah.)
Mosul
- Police commander of Talaafar two Brigadier General Ibraheem Al Jobori said that a combined Iraqi forces from the Iraq police and the Iraqi army killed 4 members of Al Qaida organization tow of them are princes ( Ali Abdul Razzaq Ahmed & Falih Dakheel) in clashes between the tow sides in Talaafar city west Mosul. 21 insurgents were arrested in the clashes including 2 princes in Al Qaida organization.
Tikrit
- Iraqi police in Tikrit arrested 39 suspect in raids targeted different neighborhoods of Tikrit city yesterday evening.
- Police said that a policeman was killed by insurgents on the main street 7 KMs east Tikrit city around 8 am.
Kirkuk
- The combined coordinating center of Kirkuk city police said that a police man was killed early morning today when insurgents opened their guns fire on his car while he was going to work downtown Kirkuk city early morning today.
Diyala
- A security source confirmed that a group of gunmen kidnapped a Sunni cleric. The source confirmed that the gunmen kidnapped Sheikh Wisam Sadoon , the imam of Al Salam mosque with one of his guards in Baquba Al Jadida neighborhood after he did the afternoon prayers and took them to an unknown place.
- A security source said that gunmen killed a man and wounded his two brothers when they attacked them near the public clinic in Khalis town north of Baquba.
- 3 Iraqi army soldiers were injured when an IED exploded targeting an Iraqi army patrol which was accompanying the bodies of 19 civilians from Jizani village, one of the villages of Khalis town.
- Police patrols found the bodies of 5 policemen in Hibhib village west of Baquba. Another police patrol found a body of a civilian in Baquba city. Shooting signs were in different parts of the body.
Kut- U.S. forces released a tribal chief after detaining him for less than a day in Kut, while a night curfew was imposed on the southern Iraqi city, a security source said.
Basra- A woman was killed on Tuesday when a landmine went off in the southern Iraqi city of Basra, a police source said.
Baghdad- U.S. forces stormed on Tuesday the office of Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr in al-Hurriya city in northern Baghdad and burned down its contents, the state-run al-Iraqiya satellite channel reported without adding further details.
Falluja- A booby-trapped car went off on Tuesday in central Khalidiyah city, west of Falluja, killing two civilians and injuring eight, eyewitnesses said.
Mosul- An Iraqi policeman was wounded on Tuesday when an explosive charge went off near his patrol vehicle in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul, a police source said.
Kirkuk- At least nine people were wounded on Tuesday when three explosive charges went off in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk, a police source said.
Basra – A British patrol came under an attack with an explosive device while conducting a search operation south of the city, where British soldiers had arrested a suspect and seized arms and ammunition, a military spokeswoman for the Multi-National Force – South said on Tuesday.
Dalouiya – A U.S. plane crashed in a remote area in eastern Dalouiya, Salah al-Din province, an eyewitness said on Tuesday.
Baaquba – An armed group kidnapped a judge in al-Aazim area in northern Baaquba, Diala province, an Iraqi police source said on Tuesday.
Kirkuk – An explosive charge went off near a Kirkuk emergency police patrol, wounding two policemen and a civilian, an official security source said on Tuesday.

Diala – Five gunmen were killed while they drove their car rigged with explosives to target civilians in northern Khalis district, Diala province, an official security source said on Tuesday.
Balad – The mayor of Balad, Salah al-Din province, was wounded along with five of his body guards after an explosive device went off, a medic from the Balad public hospital said on Tuesday.
Hibhib – The bodies of five policemen were found by an Iraqi National Guard patrol on the main street, north of the district of Hibhib, Diala province, an Iraqi police source said on Tuesday.
Basra –Basra police freed a hostage in western Basra, a security source in Basra said on Tuesday.
Kut – A U.S. force arrested the chief of al-Aabed tribe in central Wassit after raiding his home, an eyewitness said on Tuesday.
Tikrit – The police chief guard in Salah al-Din province survived an assassination attempt in eastern Tikrit, while one of his guards was killed and another wounded, a security source in Tikrit said on Tuesday.
Khalis – A civilian was killed and two of his brothers were wounded in an attack on their store in the main market of Khalis district, while 10 employees disappeared from Baaquba on Monday, an Iraqi police source said.
Falluja – An explosive device went off near an Iraqi army patrol in eastern Falluja, Anbar province, eyewitnesses said on Tuesday.
