Well, it appears that less than 24 hours after Jean-Pierre Bemba and his family arrived in Portugal for "medical treatment," the DRC's public prosecutor has requested that the Congolese Senate lift Bemba's immunity from prosecution. Bemba is immune because he is a senator. The prosecutor claims that Bemba was the "intellectual author" of the March violence in Kinshasa.
