White Dog has such an inconsistent relationship with Max. Tonight when Steve finally took pity on the poor boy who had been housebound for 15 hours, White Dog was gentle and understanding. She allowed him inside for much needed attention without her usual histrionics and didn't even bark when Max jumped up on Steve. Other times, such an action would have prompted an outburst. After treats which both dogs sat politely for, Max went "home" to await his neglectful owner...White Dog walked him to his door.
