congo watch: calme?

More Kinshasa news:

• Radio Okapi (the UN peacekeeping mission-run station) has intitial casualty reports (French).
• Fred at Extra!Extra! reports that two children under the age of five were among the dead on his street. From his end, it sounds like things are calming down.
• Digital Congo hasn't updated since around 18h00 last night.
• The United Nations Security Council is alarmed at the situation in Kinshasa. Thank goodness.
• Bemba says he won't surrender. He has, however, ordered his soldiers to stop fighting.
• South Africa wants a ceasefire. Presumbaly this is easy since they have given Bemba and his wife refuge (NOT asylum).
• I should have been clear earlier that the warrant for Bemba's arrest charges him with HIGH treason. How this is different from the other kind of treason is unclear.
